Happy 4th of July!

We did some fun stuff this weekend . . . Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

We went to the parade on Friday. We went last year, but I has a lot more fun this year.

Our friends met us there and we had a big group to people to sit with. Here is Taryn with our friend Gracie.

Before the parade started, they had a candy toss. Here is a picture of us trying to get as much candy as possible.

My mom kept getting in my way to see the parade, but when she finally moved - it was really cool. I marched when the flags came by and I waved at the horses. Mommy said I sat really good through the whole parade.

After the parade we went home and took some naps. When we got up, we went over to Mercy & Carson's house. They had sparklers and other cool fireworks. Here is a picture of what my face looked like every time someone lit fireworks off. I liked them, but they scared me for a little bit each time.

Taryn was sitting on the lawn watching all the stuff going on. Our friend Carson came over to visit her. He sure likes her!

On Saturday, we went out for lunch & it was the first time Taryn got to sit in a highchair at a restaurant. She sat so good and played with the menu, while I drew with my crayons.

Last night, I was being silly so mommy took some pictures of me.

And Taryn was so tired that she fell asleep in her "bouncer".

Weekend of Discovery

Our last week & weekend were pretty uneventful, but we have made some discoveries at our house.

I discovered that I am an excellent plumbing helper, when our kitchen sink faucet suddenly stops working at 5:00 on Sunday night. Daddy might not have thought I was such a good helper, but I am not sure what he would have done without me.

Top 10

We recently went on a family vacation to go see my Aunt H and Uncle Sam. It was a very long drive, but once we got there we had lots of fun. Here are the top 10 fun things we got to do.

10. Heather & Sam have the coolest furniture! They have holes in them, so you can “cwimb” through.

9. Taryn was teething all week, so she was crabby most of the time, but she still liked to bounce in her chair.

8. Aunt H bought this cool ball pit, but I had to help blow it up. I don’t know what she would have done with out me.

7. Daddy, Uncle Sam, Aunt H, papa and mama got to go to Wrigley field and be “bleacher bums”. Me and mommy and Taryn stayed home and played at the house.

6. I got to help Uncle Sam get the grill going. We had to put the charcoal into the grill. It was lots of fun and I got really dirty. But mommy wouldn’t let me get close after he started the grill and that made me very sad.

5. Aunt H got this cool pool for us to play in. I got it all to myself, because Taryn didn’t feel good. It was lots of fun, and I didn’t even care that the water was really cold when it was first filled up.

4. I got to play with the hose even after we were done filling the pool.

3. Here is another picture of Taryn. This was one of the last days, so she was starting to feel better. She sure drooled a lot - gross.

2. We got to go to the zoo. It was a big zoo. Here is me and Aunt H in front of the zoo. We saw lots of cool animals, like gorillas, bears, lions & elephants.

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone is having a nice 3 day weekend. I want to share with you some of the stuff we did this weekend.

** We flew a kite. Daddy decided that we needed to try to fly a kite on Saturday, since it was so windy. Here is a picture of daddy flying the Diego kite.

Here is a picture of us going to get the kite, after daddy let me hold he string. So I decided that kites are cool for a little bit, but walking around the field is much more fun.

** We went to my friend Carson's grandma & grandpa's 40th wedding anniversary. They had a band. How come nobody ever told me about the greatest dance ever invented? I learned how to do the "Hokey Pokey" I love this dance. I wanted to dance to every song, I made mommy or daddy be out on the dance floor with me all night long. Here is a picture of me doing the hokey pokey.

Hey Aunt H - please make sure that you have a wedding dance, so I can show off my cool moves!!

** Yesterday, me and mommy went to the zoo. It was pretty cool, but I just wanted to walk & walk & walk - mommy had to make me stop and look at the animals. When we went by the bear cage, they were actually up and moving around. I told mommy that they were "cute" and took off to the next cage, but mommy said we were going to take a picture since they were up. I helped them out, by telling them "say cheese, bears". Here is a picture.

** Taryn started eating food this weekend. All she has eaten so far is peas. She loves them, she get so excited when mommy comes over with her bowl of food. She sure makes a mess when she eats.

** Daddy got my sandbox all set up this weekend. I am not sure what to think of it just yet, it has potential to be lots of fun, but it sure is messy.
